Okay, so some of you may have clicked on this blog entry because of the title, and I promise you, when you get finished reading this, you will understand why God gave me the title and the inspiration for the whole entire post.
"I want to walk around naked." What does that mean? Does this mean that we should all go running around naked... like with no clothes? Absolutely not. This post is not on a worldly level. This is a post about the power of your mind. There are so many times when we go through things and we mask ourselves from the world. We put up barriers, trying to pretend that we are "okay" and "fine", knowing in truth, it is all a mask. When I say "walk around naked", I mean putting us back in the Garden. (Genesis 2) When God created Adam out of dust, he was made to be an exact image of God. Adam was so in tune with God, that they embraced the same mind. "Now the LORD God had formed out of the ground all the wild animals and all the birds in the sky. He brought them to the man to see what he would name them; and whatever the man called each living creature, that was its name." Genesis 2:19 As it reads, Adam embraced the mind of God. God flowed through Adam because he embraced a naked, pure mind. There was nothing blocking God to enter in. And that is where we need to get back to. For example: loss. When you lose someone, you try to tell the world that you are "okay" and "fine", but knowing that when you go home, you close the blinds and lay soaked up in your misery. Not only are you blocking your peers, but you are blocking God to come into your mind and make you whole again. We mask ourselves. Adam was so in tune with God, that there was no difference between him. God's heart was Adam's heart. They had a connection so strong, that he had the mind of God. Trusting Him was not up for discussion. It was a relationship. It was a covenant. That's where we need to be again. We need to build that connection and unmask ourselves from the lies that we try to live off of. No, you are not "okay". No you are not "fine" because you are not trusting God to live through you. You are limiting Him, and he's trying to see you and get through to you because He loves you with a love greater than all loves, and He wants to make his thoughts your thoughts. No, you are not "happy", because you are not letting God into your heart. He's banging on the door because he wants to transform you. Pride The number one spiritual killer. Pride creates the mask. We mask ourselves because our egos are too big. We think we can do it ourselves and fight alone. We think that we don't need anyone, and we will be "okay". We don't want people to think that we're broken, or that we are sad or depressed. But instead we'd rather wear masks that places a barrier between God's unconditional love for us. Pride leads to spiritual death. The more you wear your mask, the faster you spiritually die. God breathes into our beings purpose. When we mask ourselves, we suffocate because His love cannot get through the mask you have created. He fights for us, while we fight for ourselves. TAKE IT OFF. It's time to breathe again, because you are not okay, no matter how hard you fight, you are breathless without His love!! Question: You say, "I want my cup to overflow!" But how can your cup overflow when you've put a lid over it? Answer: SURRENDER. Take it off. The lids... the masks... everything! TAKE IT OFF! Because you can't build a covenant in isolation. It is when we fully surrender and we take off our masks- rip them apart- that we truly experience the love of God and experience His promise... and our covenant becomes real. It's a supernatural healing that overpowers any selfish lie. When you are laying in your bed, feeling alone in your trials, I want you to say this prayer: "I want to walk around naked! I want my mind to be so in tune with you, that it is overwhelming! I want to be naked... please make me new! This mask cannot keep me captive any longer, because in your presence I find freedom. I fully put my trust in you, so I take off this mask for you to make me whole." I am praying for you, my sisters and brothers... that in your soul you find joy in this new covenant. {I am encouraging you all to read the book of Genesis. I found my purpose within it.}

As the new year approached, the word "covenant" kept ringing in my ear like a constant bell. I was sitting in bible study a few weeks ago and we went in depth about the true meaning of a covenant.
This world makes it so hard to build a relationship with God. Destruction lies all around us. And as a believer of Christ, I have accepted my role: crazy. In the world's eyes, I am crazy for believing in something that I cannot use my five senses to identify. But in the spiritual realm, I am crazy because I am crazily on fire for a connection deeper than any ocean or valley. This world is the biggest distraction for trying to connect with God. Every day you see media or hear music that deters you from seeking that connection- or shall I say covenant. What is a covenant? A covenant is a promise... a relationship. When you are seeking a covenant with God, you are guaranteed the presence of God. He is in the midst of your covenant to Him. It is an obligation. But so many times, people get covenant confused with a blessing. We've all experienced blessings from God. Some of you may haven't acknowledged them yet, and that is why it distinguishes itself from a covenant. A blessing does not require God's presence. You can get a new car, say it's a blessing, but do not have a relationship with God. But when you have a covenant with God, you promise to live for Him, and He promises to live through you. "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded." -James 4:7-8 This scripture is a great example to back all of this up. Surrender yourself to God. Turn away from the world's patterns and follow the patterns of who created you. When we do that, the world will not be able to ease into our minds because our minds will be so in tune with God that His presence will be too overwhelming. When you draw close to God and create a covenant with Him, it is promised in His word that He will draw near you and use you to glory His kingdom. This entry is to uplift you as some of you begin a journey with Christ and some of you continuing it. Make sure we as believers keep our thoughts and hearts pure. (For those of you unsure about your purity or what it means, check out my entry "What My Purity Means" a few entrees down.) Believe and Build We are living in a world that has drifted so far from God, and we cannot drift away with them. We are sons and daughters of the most highest God. You must build that covenant with God. He is waiting for you, but you have to meet Him in the middle. He's asking for you to believe in His son, so He can give you eternal life. Let Him be in control of your life. Your soul was not created to endure alone. 2016 will be a beautiful year for you, if you just believe and build. The world will call you crazy, but crazy is a good thing in the Kingdom of God. It means that your soul yearns for His presence day and night. Don't let this world rob you of something that you are promised. Because even when I am persecuted for my relationship with Him, I can't help but smile. Because God loves our crazy covenant, and that's the only thing that matters. "But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint." -Isaiah 40:31 Happy New Year. ✝ |
