Okay, so some of you may have clicked on this blog entry because of the title, and I promise you, when you get finished reading this, you will understand why God gave me the title and the inspiration for the whole entire post.
"I want to walk around naked." What does that mean? Does this mean that we should all go running around naked... like with no clothes? Absolutely not. This post is not on a worldly level. This is a post about the power of your mind. There are so many times when we go through things and we mask ourselves from the world. We put up barriers, trying to pretend that we are "okay" and "fine", knowing in truth, it is all a mask. When I say "walk around naked", I mean putting us back in the Garden. (Genesis 2) When God created Adam out of dust, he was made to be an exact image of God. Adam was so in tune with God, that they embraced the same mind. "Now the LORD God had formed out of the ground all the wild animals and all the birds in the sky. He brought them to the man to see what he would name them; and whatever the man called each living creature, that was its name." Genesis 2:19 As it reads, Adam embraced the mind of God. God flowed through Adam because he embraced a naked, pure mind. There was nothing blocking God to enter in. And that is where we need to get back to. For example: loss. When you lose someone, you try to tell the world that you are "okay" and "fine", but knowing that when you go home, you close the blinds and lay soaked up in your misery. Not only are you blocking your peers, but you are blocking God to come into your mind and make you whole again. We mask ourselves. Adam was so in tune with God, that there was no difference between him. God's heart was Adam's heart. They had a connection so strong, that he had the mind of God. Trusting Him was not up for discussion. It was a relationship. It was a covenant. That's where we need to be again. We need to build that connection and unmask ourselves from the lies that we try to live off of. No, you are not "okay". No you are not "fine" because you are not trusting God to live through you. You are limiting Him, and he's trying to see you and get through to you because He loves you with a love greater than all loves, and He wants to make his thoughts your thoughts. No, you are not "happy", because you are not letting God into your heart. He's banging on the door because he wants to transform you. Pride The number one spiritual killer. Pride creates the mask. We mask ourselves because our egos are too big. We think we can do it ourselves and fight alone. We think that we don't need anyone, and we will be "okay". We don't want people to think that we're broken, or that we are sad or depressed. But instead we'd rather wear masks that places a barrier between God's unconditional love for us. Pride leads to spiritual death. The more you wear your mask, the faster you spiritually die. God breathes into our beings purpose. When we mask ourselves, we suffocate because His love cannot get through the mask you have created. He fights for us, while we fight for ourselves. TAKE IT OFF. It's time to breathe again, because you are not okay, no matter how hard you fight, you are breathless without His love!! Question: You say, "I want my cup to overflow!" But how can your cup overflow when you've put a lid over it? Answer: SURRENDER. Take it off. The lids... the masks... everything! TAKE IT OFF! Because you can't build a covenant in isolation. It is when we fully surrender and we take off our masks- rip them apart- that we truly experience the love of God and experience His promise... and our covenant becomes real. It's a supernatural healing that overpowers any selfish lie. When you are laying in your bed, feeling alone in your trials, I want you to say this prayer: "I want to walk around naked! I want my mind to be so in tune with you, that it is overwhelming! I want to be naked... please make me new! This mask cannot keep me captive any longer, because in your presence I find freedom. I fully put my trust in you, so I take off this mask for you to make me whole." I am praying for you, my sisters and brothers... that in your soul you find joy in this new covenant. {I am encouraging you all to read the book of Genesis. I found my purpose within it.}
